Jonathan Ryan Storm’s paintings are based on an internal logic, created with an intuitive process. Some were sewn, others were painted. Some were painted to look sewn, some were sewn to look painted. The pictures appear while looking, which is to say that the paintings appear while waiting.
Jonathan Ryan Storm (b.1980 ) received his BA in Metaphysics from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Recent exhibitions include Texas Contemporary (David Shelton Gallery, Houston), The F.R. Collection in Austin, Neuer Saarbrucker Kunstverein, MOHS in Copenhagen, GoodPressGallery and MAKEBISH Gallery in New York.
