Of this Long Island

Countless stories chased
Many seeds planted
Flotsam discovered
While pretty pictures on every corner
A place of inspiration for so many?
Over-sparkly
Seducing glows
Landscape patina
These are My Darlings?
Perhaps it’s become a book, finally
But so many pictures
And so many darling ones
Kill them the writer’s wisdom suggests
Or keep them?
So much shooting
So much killing
Darling-cide?
