Horace and Isabel (Horus and Isis). This right here won’t stop ‘til we eating off of platinum plates. The Bartica Brigade’s (named for the city of Bartica in the Dutch colony of Essequibo) leaders were husband and wife, Horace and Isabel (commonly referred to as Horus and Isis). Horace was a pious man and a brilliant tactician. Isis was a fiery orator and a powerful motivating force among the ranks. Horace would win the Battle on Manhattan for the Bonnie Prince, for Frengland, but Harlem would be their home. They would create a new Thebes on the outskirts of the great golden city of New Amsterdam. They would invite their compatriots from the village of Stuyvesant, the village of Vlacke Bos (Flatbush), and of Boswijck (Bushwick) to join their new realm of peace, equality, and justice.
