Clovis and Beertje Van der Zee of Vlacke Bos (Flatbush). A 2 dollar couple in 3 dollar outfits.Beertje Van Der Zee was the cousin of the slain Queen Ineke of New Holland. She was ostracized by King Arend when she decided to marry her coachman Congolese Clovis. Clovis and Beertje were then exiled to Vlacke Bos (Flatbush) where they swore to take down King Arend. On occasion, they would come to New Amsterdam to party but would be ridiculed and chased out. They’d dare not harm her for she was a member of the royal family. They eventually got their revenge when they joined Horace and Isabel’s rebellion.
