Irene of The Sisters of the Red WoodYou’ve come a long way baby, you put the “I” in Irene.Irene was born to a Dutch merchant father and a mother from Essequibo. After the DuBoisan revolution in the Guianas, her father moved his family to New Holland. She grew up on the road trading with her father picking up some Algonquian languages while her mother took care of the home. The Huron Chief Red Arm’s raiding party killed her mother and father and adopted Irene into the tribe. She learned to fight and take care of a home but she enjoyed fighting better. Later she would become the Bonnie Prince’s emissary in dealing with the Harlemites. She was also in a romantic relationship with King Arend.
